BACKYARD PRODUCTIONS:
FROM ’0′ to ’800′ in SIX MONTHS
When our client, prolific & highly regarded film production company Backyard, decided to get involved with the world of social media in December, we took the challenge head on. Backyard had no Facebook, Twitter, blog or Flickr, and we thought they were missing great storytelling opportunities.
“Social Butterfly is a great service that enables us to share our brand in a bigger way. It is easier convey what makes us unique through social networking than just our website because people get to see behind the scenes on our shoots, the bar-b-ques on the roof during the summer, the family atmosphere at the office. For Backyard, sharing through social media is invaluable,” Cori Cooperider, Director of Research.
Press Kitchen had been in the same boat a year ago, and found that diving into social networking bolstered our brand recognition significantly. The positive results from taking advantage of the benefits that Facebook, Twitter and a company blog page can provide, evoked a natural progression to extend those services to our clients. Backyard was Social Butterfly’s first official client.
Facebook has recently replaced Google as the number one most visited site on the internet. While it began as an online hang-out where college students kept in touch with their friends, it has now become a place where anyone over the age of 13 with a valid e-mail address can join networks, post pictures, and update their ‘status’. The fan page feature is allowing businesses to connect to their audience, clients, potential clientele and even employees on a level never before seen.
